Juan Luis Balbas
Director of Technology, Latin America and Caribbean
Juan Luis Balbas is director of technology for the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region at Tellabs. In this role, he is responsible for building customer relationships and delivering wireless backhaul, optical networking and business services applications to customers.
Balbas has more than 15 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. He specializes in designing, operating and implementing fixed and mobile networks with DWDM, ATM, FR, and IP/MPLS technologies.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering, a Master of Engineering degree in data switching architectures and a Master of Engineering degree in mobile network communications from Universidad Politécnia de Madrid.
