Prasad Dorbala
Vice President, Technology Strategy
Prasad Dorbala is vice president of technology strategy at Tellabs. In this role, he is responsible for identifying and building strategy for entering mobile packet core, mobile security, and analytics growth markets and for execution of forward-thinking proofs-of-concepts in the CTO office.
Prior to joining Tellabs, Dorbala held senior leadership positions at Aylus Networks, Comcast Corporation and Narad Networks. Previously, he held various engineering and management roles at Cisco Systems, MaxComm Technologies, Lucent, and AT&T Bell Laboratories. He also founded Relycom, a consulting telecommunications firm. Dorbala holds 6 U.S. patents and has 4 patents pending in broadband networking and services.
He has more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Osmania University and a Master of Science degree in computer sciences from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
