Tellabs began its Finland operations in 1993 by acquiring Martis Oy, founded in 1976. Most of our operations are located in Espoo but we also have a unit doing multi-faceted research and development in Oulu. Currently about 500 people are employed in Finland. With several awards in the industry and media, it's easy to see why so many people value Tellabs as an employer.
We carry global responsibility for the Tellabs® 8100 Managed Access System and the Tellabs® 8600 Managed Edge System developed in Finland, as well as for the Tellabs® 8000 Network Manager software included. Tellabs Oy has a continued dedication to quality and environmental values, effectively demonstrated by the company's ISO 14001 certification.
