This instructor-led course provides knowledge and skills needed to perform basic provisioning tasks on Tellabs 7100 Optical Transport Systems (OTS) using the Tellabs 7190/7194 Management System. It has been updated to include Tellabs 7100 OTS FP 6.X features, services, and applications.
After a brief introduction to the Tellabs 7190/7194 Management System (MS) functionality, participants will learn how to use the Tellabs 7190/94 MS to provision the 7100 OTS system to provide the services and applications supported. The course includes hands-on activities using a Tellabs training lab system environment. It is designed to help participants learn the concepts that have been presented and reinforce what they have learned.
This course includes an optional end of course assessment, approximately 2.5 hours in duration, which consists of a knowledge test and a performance test. Participants opting to take the course assessment must also enroll in the Tellabs 7100 OTS Provisioning using Tellabs 7190/7194 MS, FP6.X Assessment (71P7190946XA). Both tests are completed immediately after the training session. Assessments are currently not offered on site.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Navigate the Tellabs 7190/7194 User Interface
- Provision common equipment, settings, and traffic on the 7100 OTS using the Tellabs 7190/7194 Management System
- Manage Tellabs 7100 OTS system performance using the Tellabs 7190/7194 Management System
